Frequently Asked Questions
Here I have a list of a few questions I get asked, you guessed it, frequently. Since I don't want them asked over and over, here they are for your vewing pleasure:
How do I use the brushes? (for Photoshop users)
(This question gave birth to the F.A.Q.'s page...) After you click the download link (and press save on the pop-up window for those who don't know), save the .zip file in someplace easy-to-acsess, like 'My Documents'. Next, open up 'My Documents', right click on the folder, then click 'Extract All'. A pop-up window will come up. Just read the instructions and folow through it. Click browse, then go to 'My Computer >> Local Disk >> Program files >> Adobe >> Photoshop [whatever version] >> Presets >> Brushes'. Now when you open Photoshop and use the brush tool, whatever new brush set you just downloaded should be in the list with all of the default brushes.
Will you make a layout for me?
Well...Depends. Unless I go in to the business of comissions, I don't think I'll be making custom layouts for specific people any time soon. However, if you want a layout in a certain style or with a certain character/color theme/etc. on it, I might make it in to a premade, and then you can download it from here and use it. Just don't ask for a Barney layout...That ain't happening.
Can I use your graphics on my site?
Sadly, I have been asked this (via tagboard and e-mail) more than once. Of course you can use my graphics on your site! In fact, I insist that you do if you're bothering to ask! All I ask in return is a link back (or better yet, read the
terms of use to clarify any questions).
Can you help me with -insert problem here-?
Unless I'm feeling in a particularly generous mood, the answer is most likely no. I tried helping someone once via e-mail who was having troubles using a layout...And after about four replys, she still got no where. Anyways, the point is, most of the time if you're asking for help with something like that, you wouldn't know a lot of the terms I'd be using, and it just would make you more confused. Sorry! Maybe you can google the answer?
Your Question's Not Here?
Still need help? Well, if it's an important question, or you just want to say hello, e-mail me at
starsprite@sbcglobal.net and I'll see if I can help. (though this really contradicts the answer to one of the questions up there...)
